The below paper is part of a practice-led research project focusing upon how value hierarchies impact the practices and techniques that audio engineers choose to apply.
Roughly speaking, this project draws parallels between philosophy and audio engineering and covers topics such as what is sound, what is good, and is pleasure the final goal in order to establish a conceptual framework and decision making model which is largely applicable to any audio engineering sub-domain.
